Air
Consider three main options:
Rome’s International Airport LEONARDO DA VINCI (FIUMICINO),where all major air lines land
http://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-roma-en-/pax-fco-fiumicino.
The airport is 1 hour and a half away from our property.
Rome’s International Airport CIAMPINO, where most low cost flights land
http://www.adr.it/web/aeroporti-di-roma-en-/pax-cia-ciampino.
The airport is 1 hour and a half away from our property.
Perugia’s small airport, closer to the house but less served
http://www.airport.umbria.it/public.
The airport is less than 1 hour away from our property.
Car
We recommend fly + drive
.
A rental car can be picked up at any of the above airports, as well as in nearby city of Terni. Even though our property is located in the very heart of San Gemini’s village, and it guarantees possibility of walk only holiday, it is a good idea to have a car and cruise Umbria and its places.
Driving they say it can be fun in Italy... take a look at crazy Italians driving like crazy, but never engage in extemporary races! Consider that a toll is to be paid for driving on Autostrade, Italy's highways. Weekends are a good time to travel on the highways, as trucks cannot circulate on Saturday and Sunday. Bear in mind that roads tend to be especially busy around large cities on Saturdays.
San Gemini Nearby Map - Getting to San Gemini
Rome is connected with the North by the A1: get on GRA (Rome’s ring) from either one of Rome’s airports, enter A1 direction North (Firenze) and exit at ORTE. From there follow signs for Perugia and take the San Gemini exit after circa 17 km. Then drive slowly for remaining 8 km until you see the town of San Gemini walls.

This map is to help you find the walking entrance to Palazzo Santi Terzi, in Via del Tribunale n.78, just above Piazza San Francesco.
Meeting point
Please ring us at least 1 hour before arriving and we will be pleased to meet you at the entrance of town, in the parking lot by the Post Office: it is the best option when driving, as the small center of San Gemini has traffic limitation.
