Reaching San Gemini

BY AIR

Umbria's capital, Perugia, has a small airport, served mainly by Alitalia (www.alitalia.com). Car hire is available at the airport: Avis (Perugia Airport office) tel. 0039/075/6929796 or 6929346) Hertz (Perugia - collection at airport can be arranged) tel. 0039/075/5002439

Easyjet ( www.easyjet.com) offers affordable flights to Rome and Bologna (north of Florence, 2 hrs drive from Sangemini).

Rome is served by most major airlines, including British Airways (www.british-airways.com) and Virgin (www.virgin-express.com) (which offer online booking), and most car hire companies have offices in the airports. Rome is approximately 1 hrs from Sangemini by car.

DRIVING

One pays a toll for driving on Italy's 'autostrade' (motorways). Rome is connected with the North by the A1, which one follows south until the Orte exit. From there one follows the signs towards Terni, then takes the Sangemini exit just before Terni. Weekends are a good time to travel on the "autostrada" as lorries cannot circulate on Saturday and Sunday. Bear in mind that roads tend to be especially busy around large cities on Saturdays.

When you arrive in Sangemini leave your car in the car park in Piazzale Tuderte (except on Tuesdays when the square is used for the weekly market). The entrance to Palazzo Santi Terzi can be reached on foot from there: Via del Tribunale n.78, just above Piazza San Francesco.

Please ring us at least 1 hour before arriving and we will be pleased to meet you there.
